Photo of the Day- Robbie, Lauren and Benjamin

One of my biggest struggles in photography is trying to get a shot of my three kids. I would love to get a picture where they are all looking with great big happy smiles on their faces. More commonly, two are looking with zoned looks on their faces and Benjamin is typically crying. I can not figure out a way to get Benjamin to want to sit on a lap or sit still for a picture. It doesn't matter how many times I bark or mooo, or sing songs or do silly little dances, he is completely uninterested! :) Any suggestions? :) :) (This is the ONLY shot I got with Benjamin looking semi-content out of about 40)

Getting shots of your own kids is sometimes the hardest of all, especially when they are little. I think this is an adorable shot. Love their cute expressions.

Yup, I agree with Margaret. They are so used to the camera in their face it's so hard for them to be adorable in front of it anymore. But, keep doing what you are doing, and don't forget to just snap away. There's always cloning heads? :) This one is cute though. Your kids are adorable!!

I figure if they are at least making eye contact it's a win. Everyone knows that little ones are the hardest to capture, anyway, so they are an automatic bye... Cute shot!

I feel your pain and I only have two!! What I like to do is getting everything set up with my older one, settings in and him where I need him. Then I have my husband or someone bring the little one in at the very last minute. It usually works cause he doesnt lose interest waiting on me :)

Honestly, if they're in the same frame I think that in and of itself is noteworthy :) Eye contact is just the icing on the cake. All smiles - in my world that would be a miracle!

Such a cute shot!

I have the exact same problem with my two boys. One will oblige and look at the camera for 2 shots while the other one will only turn away from me and go about his business.

Cute shot. As for advice I have none. I have 7 kids and after all these years of trying to get a decent family photo of them I gave up and I accept whatever I get. If they are silly(which is usually the case) or looking away I take it. Did I mention most of them are grown up now and I still cant get them to look at the camera.

Very imprssive shot! Not only all 3, looking at the camera, with cute expressions, but color coordinated clothing! This IS a miracle!

This is so cute! I know how hard it is to get all three looking :)
