Photo of the Day- Reading

Robbie got his first week of homework for first grade. One of the things that he needs to do is spend 15 minutes each day reading. After he got home from school he had a snack and then each kid picked 5 books for reading time. I set the timer for 15 minutes. After 15 minutes they decided that they weren't done so I put another 30 minutes on the timer. It was great! Even Benjamin got in on the fun. I laid down with a book, also. It was so nice. It's been along time since i've sat down and read a book. I think we may make a habit of this reading time!
