Today is a big day for this blog? Do you know what it is? Today is day 365 for my photo of the day blog. So, naturally, I made cupcakes to celebrate! I have accomplished my goal of taking at least one picture a day for one whole year. :) What now? I have no idea. I don't think I am going to keep up with the photo of the day because it takes a lot of time and energy. But, I think that I may do a photo of the week. We will have to see. Until then....let's celebrate! :)

Rob and I were wanting to "celebrate" (or mourn) the end of his life as a vibrant, alive and happy person in his 20's and start his life as an old man in his 30's. So, today we "celebrated" his last day in his 20's with Chipotle's burritos.

Rob brought me home the most delicious treat from Trader Joes. They are little mint ice cream sandwiches. They are very yummy and very addicting. They are about the size of an oreo cookie, so I am sure that it is okay that I ate 6 in one sitting.

As part of a color challenge I was supposed to find something colorful. Thanks to Freecycle, I have more ribbon that a girl could ever want or need. :) But, it definitely displays color, nicely!! For some odd reason, I LOVE ribbon! I cannot get rid of it because you never know when I am going to need it! At least it came in handy for todays color challenge!

We had a celebration today for Pioneer Day! They had a pie making contest. I was going to make brownies in a pie tin because I have never been able to get a pie to turn out! Rob decided to give it a try and mad a delicious Boysenberry Sugar Pie with delicious homemade crust! And thats saying a lot because I normally don't like pie!!

I decided not to have a garden this year. Instead, I bought large packs of wild flower seeds at target and planted them all. It took awhile, but they are growing. Not sure if they are wild flowers or weeds, though!

This was one of my favorite things we did on vacation. We made sand candles. We melted candle wax at the beach, added color and scent, then poured it into holes made in the sand. The first one is lavender scent and the second is pumpkin spice. The kids all had so much fun making these.

These is what it looked like when we were making them: Each separate color is a different candle. We made pumpkin spice, lavender, green apple, and christmas tree candles.

Rob and I made Robbie, Lauren and Benjamin art-to-go tote bags for the summer. We sewed them last night and then filled them with paint, notepads and colored pencils. We decided to go to the botanical gardens today and spend some time drawing and painting.

Lauren had her preschool graduation today. This was bitter sweet for her because she was excited for a party, but she is VERY sad to leave preschool and go to kindergarten. She is going to miss preschool very much!

The NUMBER 1 SOUL reason that Lauren doesn't want to leave preschool. She asked me today if I thought Mrs. Gina would be willing to teach Kindergarten instead of preschool next year. We LOVE Mrs. Gina and will miss having her as Lauren's teacher.

I LOVE breakfast! I am lucky to be married to Rob who constantly cooks me the most amazing breakfasts. Although, with today being Father's Day, I had to step up my game and make him breakfast. He really likes coconut, so I made toasted coconut french toast made with Kings Hawaiian pineapple coconut bread and coconut syrup. I must say, it was delicious!!! Happy Fathers Day, Rob, I love you!!

I discovered something lovely. I walked into our local Rite Aid for the first time to buy some diapers. And out of the corner of my eye, I saw something beautiful. The large Thrifty's ice cream booth. Mmmm... This is a memory for me. I used to love stopping at the store after going to the beach with my parents and all getting an ice cream cone. Thrifty's is just oh so good. So, of course I had to buy some to bring home. I may have to go to Rite Aid more often.

Benjamin loves pizza but I always getting nervous about him choking with the thick crusts. I came across this recipe for a tortilla pizza and it is so thin and easy to eat. Benjamin loved it and I didn't have to worry!

I love date night! I wish it would happen more often. Luckily for me, Rob and I are both content with a nice dinner at home and a movie at home for our date. Since babysitters don't happen very often!!! Rob planned a great date tonight picking up a dvd on red box and making me some home made lettuce wraps!! YUM! They were delicious. And to top it off, some bottles of root beer. I love rootbeer! :) Thanks for a great date! (even if you slept through the movie! ;) ) I love you, Rob!
